A clear hard shell case with a rubberized black bumper. Designed especially for people who like to show the back of their Nexus 5, while making sure it stays protected against drops and scratches.
After many issues with the Ringke fusion case for the nexus 4, which included hard to press buttons or too easy to press buttons, the fusion case for the Nexus 5 looks and feels great.
The Rearth Ringke Fusion case for the Nexus 5 is designed to offer a slim and stylish design, while still being able to protect your Nexus 5 from hits and drops. While the clear plastic on the back won’t protect your phone much from drops, the black bumper on the sides has four little raised dots which cover the corners of the back of your Nexus 5. These little raised dots sole purpose is to make sure your device won’t ouch the surface, when you lay it on it’s back. It also means that in case you drop your device on the back, on a flat surface, these little dots should be shock absorbent enough to protect the back of your Nexus 5. On our opinion, this case is perfect in terms of slimness plus drop protection, since the back of the Nexus 5 is made out of plastic, unlike the back of the Nexus 4 which is made out of glass.
This case also has a decent raised lip on the front, to make sure your screen will be protected if you lay your Nexus 5 on it, or if your drop it on a flat surface.
The design of the Rearth Ringke Fusion case for the Nexus 5 is really great. It’s slim, light weight, and has a transparent back, so you could show the beautiful back of your Nexus 5. The cutouts are good and the buttons are easy to press. The bumper has Rearth’s logo on it on the side, which adds a little bit to its design. Overall, this is one of the best cases out there for the Nexus 5, mainly because of the good combination between protection and a stylish design. Unless you’re into hardcore trekking or Extreme sports, this is the perfect case for your Nexus 5.
