The Case-Mate Naked Tough Case for Motorola Moto X features a slim, lightweight and minimalist design. With its semi transparent back and rubberized bumper, this case provides a good combination between protection and style.
The Case-Mate Naked Tough Case for Motorola Moto X features a hard polycarbonate shell which protects the Moto X from scratches and occasional hits. On top of this hard shell, comes a rubberized bumper, which was designed to protect the Moto X from drops. Although the Moto X gets good drop protection from the corners, sides and from the screen, the back is not covered at all by the rubberized bumper. The polycarbonate shell and the hard plastic back of the Moto X provide some shock absorption from small drops, but it’s only minimal and you should be careful not to drop your device on the back with this case on. There is a raised lip around the screen, which should protect the screen of the Moto X very well from drops, or in case you place your Moto X facing down on a flat surface.
The build quality of the Case-Mate Naked Tough Case for Motorola Moto X is very good. The cutouts for the camera, speaker and ports are perfect, and so is the responsiveness of the buttons. The case sits very firmly on the Moto X and doesn’t add a lot of weight to it. Many cheap cases that feature a polycarbonate shell with a rubbeized bumper, suffer from separation between the polycarbonate and the bumper over time, due to the use of low quality materials. Thankfully, Case-Mate are always using high quality materials, so you should not encounter such problems from this case.
The Case-Mate Naked Tough Case for Motorola Moto X features a good balance between drop protection and a lightweight, minimalist design.
